TripAdvisor has recognised 25 African hotels in its 2020 Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best list.

The accolades are based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews, prior to any changes caused by COVID-19, and winners are among the top 1% of all listings on TripAdvisor.

The four South African properties ranked on the list are The Oyster Box in Umhlanga, Kapama River Lodge in the Kruger Park area, The Peech Boutique Hotel in Johannesburg, and the Cape Grace in Cape Town.

“Winners of the 2020 Travellers’ Choice Awards should be proud of this distinguished recognition,” said CCO of TripAdvisor, Kanika Soni.

“Although it’s been a challenging year for travel and hospitality, we want to celebrate our partners’ achievements. Award winners are beloved for their exceptional service and quality. Not only are these winners well deserving, they are also a great source of inspiration for travellers as the world begins to venture out again.”
