We’re proud to share that The Peech Hotel has been honoured twice at the 2026 World Luxury Awards, one of the hospitality industry’s best-known international award programmes.

About the awards

The World Luxury Hotel Awards recognise luxury properties across a wide range of categories, presented at global, continental, regional and country levels. They celebrate hotels that deliver exceptional guest experiences, whatever their size.

How winners are chosen

• Public vote: Winners are voted for by the public. Anyone can vote online during the designated voting season, and the awards attract over 300,000 votes each year.
• Judging criteria: Properties are judged on service delivery, luxury and presentation.
• Size doesn’t count: A property’s size is not considered in determining eligibility, so an independent boutique hotel competes on equal footing with the world’s largest names.

Our two awards

Best Luxury Sustainable Hotel in Africa

Best Luxury Urban Hotel in Africa

Together, these awards recognise two things we care about most: caring for our planet and our community, and offering a true luxury escape in the heart of Johannesburg.

A heartfelt thank you to every guest who took the time to vote for us, and to our wonderful team, whose passion and care make these awards possible. Thank you!
